Pôle Land Art Départemental – PLAD
La Ferme de Chosal
The Chosal Farm / PLAD
Copponex
With the creation of the Departmental Land Art Pole (PLAD) in 2010,
la Ferme de Chosal wanted to place art and culture at the heart of its project to establish the social integration of disabled people, by opening up to large audiences and with a concern for decompartmentalization, exchange and meeting with the outside world.
This is a project which aims to provide access to culture for all, in particular audiences who are often far from culture (people with disabilities, socially disadvantaged people, social minimums). As part of the Departmental Land Art Center (PLAD), the Ferme de Chosal offers a trail which is gradually being created and which is made up of works created by disabled workers from the Ferme de Chosal during creative workshops as well as works produced each year by artists in residence.
Since 2018, in partnership with Annecy landscapes, four works
were thus created during these residencies and have since
part of the route:
• Moebius inception by Pedro Marzorati (2018),
• La cause commune by Bob Verschueren (2019)
• D’un monde à l’autre by Gilles Bruni (2020)
• Présences by Kasia Ozga (2021) and
• Abri by Teruhisa Suzuki (2023)
In September 2024 a new work by Michaël Mvukani Mpiolani accompanied by Rémi Tamburini (Visual artist & facilitator – Visual arts workshop at Créahmbxl) will see the light of day on the trail.
NB: The Créahmbxl (Création et Handicap Mental) is an experiencing art workshop which offers creative art workshops to mental disabled people.
